Contemporary Luxe Wedding At Sennowe Park, Norfolk

Think clean lines, chic touches and contemporary vibes for today’s wedding inspiration at Sennowe Park, Norfolk. Photographer Masha Unwerth created the concept behind the shoot which showcases a modern chic look in a traditional venue and we love it! We catch up with her to find out how the local team of creatives brought the shoot to life, to bring you copious amounts of beautiful details for your own big day.

“The inspiration was the Sennowe Park itself, it’s a beautiful unique Georgian house built by the grandson of Thomas Cook! Oh, so Sennowe in love! Coming through the grand front gates of the private estate and stately home, I immediately felt we were in for something rather special. With its stunning Italianate garden terraces overlooking the rolling parkland, Sennowe Park without a doubt is a dream wedding venue that combines the formality of a stately home with the warm intimacy of a family country house. Such a dramatic backdrop and numerous picturesque locations won the hearts of myself and my team and of course, when we were invited to shoot at the spectacular winter garden, could we ever possibly believe our luck?!”

“I chose to shoot a rather young and glamorous couple, the inspiration behind the setting was to combine the crispy and bright elegance of autumn season, with modern notes of an elegant and affluent wedding. Be daring, and be unique with your ideas when it comes to planning your wedding. As well as being inspired by the history of the venue and using countless Pinterest boards, I chose a green and white colour palette that was predominantly stimulated by the light and airy winter garden, and marble tones of the venue. As a photographer I wanted to create a sumptuous and sophisticated wedding day affair, to inspire the like-minded couples who are thinking of getting married at the unique Sennowe Park! Our model wore a custom-made chic front slit contemporary bridal gown that gave a romantic yet fine-edge feel to the shoot and it celebrated the young souls of the couple.”

“The shoot’s bridal make-up artist Becky Downton MUA created an alluring celebration look for our bride by using copper tones on the eye for the base, adding burgundy smoke, before finishing off the look with a nude gloss lip colour. Our hair stylist, Polly Waghorn of RDW Hair went confidently for glamour of old Hollywood waves that framed and accentuated our model’s face features perfect.

“Modern table décor elements and richness of the winter garden at Sennowe Park undoubtedly needed the perfect furniture to balance the visionary set-up, having the Ghost chairs by Alfresco Hire brought the right touch of the stylish vibe to the elegant tablescape. Incorporating pure clean lines and simple details in wedding stationery expertly done by Abbie Worton Design helped bring the shoot’s vision and concept to life.”

“Keeping with the moodboard theme, Tina Gedney of West Norfolk Flowers , decided to forgo the usual table décor for the modern take on flower table arrangements using tall thin vases, accentuated with cala lilies, aspidistra leaves, and hydrangea Verena White.. also, doubling the flower look for the outdoor wedding arch made of two large statement pedestal vases.”

“Ginny O’Hegarty of The Little Sugar Rose made a fabulous three-tier green and gold wedding cake with cala lilies wrapping around the cake to tie up with the floral arrangements and décor throughout.”

“The scenery at Sennowe Park was the perfect backdrop. With scenic symmetrical Italianate terraced lawns, and ornamental statues, I was able to showcase the unlimited scope the venue provides and capture some of the beautiful moments of our fantastic couple. I felt incredibly lucky to be invited to shoot at Sennowe Park and having on board some of the best creative minds today we have certainly pulled this shoot off and it was just as perfect as I have imaged.”
