Here we catch up with photographer Nina from Nina Pang Photography who gives us the
lowdown on how and where to get the look and what inspired this boho chic wedding shoot…
Boho Chic Wedding Inspiration with Pretty Pastels and a Coloured Dress
“Themed weddings are huge right now; they can be adapted across all four seasons and
incorporate a vast range of colour schemes. We opted for a dreamy palette of soft pinks,
taking inspiration from the seasonal cherry blossoms present at the time of the shoot.
Femininity and chicness, combined with delicate styling, were juxtaposed against the rich,
dark surroundings of the venue, The Fitzgerald Heaton Moor.”
“Beautiful, vintage props were provided in abundance by Florence & Vera which tied in
perfectly with the 1920’s speakeasy style surroundings, including a stunning Singer table
which was used as an alternative to a traditional dessert table. A copper arbor made the
perfect hanging place for a gorgeous macrame backdrop, with vintage Persian rugs creating a mock aisle; adding to the boho feel of the shoot.”
“Jewellery, provided by Gemma Redmond Vintage was unconventional and whimsical, with
all pieces coming from their vintage collection aimed at non- traditional brides. Brightly
coloured pieces in shades of peach and pink were selected including a Balenciaga ring from
the 1990s, a bracelet from the 1950s and earrings from 1960s.”
“Spring blossoms inspired the cakes and sweet treats, provided by Sarah Pink Cocoa, and also the bespoke stationery, created by Wonderland Invites. Sarah created a stunning three tier cake, with hand painted watercolour decorations and delicate sugar blossoms floating away from the cake itself. Pretty as picture macaroons were baked especially in pale pink and green tones. Biscuits featured hand painted designs, inspired by the elegant and detailed
watercolour designs on the stationery.”
“The invitation suite featured the running theme of cherry blossom, combined with foliage
and a beautiful script font to add to the romanticism of the shoot. Place cards were done with hand calligraphy by Wonderland Invites and were adorned with hand-dyed silks from Kate
“Flowers were created by Maybe May, who were really excited by the brief; they utilised a
mix of seasonal flowers and foraged greenery in shades of pink, white and soft green.
Hellebores, ranunculi’s, scabious and roses were juxtaposed with soft eucalyptus and
blossoms to create a soft, feminine vibe. Sammy Lea’s Retro Emporium kindly lent jackets for
the shoot, to bring an air of boho to the whimsical dresses which were provided by Meljoy
