“We have recently moved to Somerset as we believe the South West of England has some of the best wedding venues in the Country. We wanted to bring that high end luxurious feel to the English Countryside with our recent styled shoot at the stunning Holbrook Manor in Wincanton. Country weddings have come a long way in recent years, gone are the days of dark, dingy barns with hessian covering every surface. Country weddings can have that modern, contemporary look with a luxurious feel.”
“We used the jewel like tones of the Kingfisher as the palette for our styled shoot at the stunning Holbrook Manor. Set on the borders of three of Englands prettiest counties Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire with 20 acres of lawned gardens, this Georgian country house is perfect as a back drop for an English country wedding. We wanted to show that country and modern can go hand in hand! Our bride wore a stunning wedding dress by Cosmobella and the most romantic tulle skirt that flowed perfectly as she strolled around the beautiful grounds of this English country wedding venue.”
“Our make up artist kept everything glowing and soft with Charlotte Tilbury face products as they are great for radiant, flawless skin. For the eyes she wanted to incorporate the stunning jewel like colours of the Kingfisher in a subtle way so she did a bronzed eyeshadow with a liner to add a pop of colour. Our hair stylist created a soft, romantic bridal look with braids that were twisted up and looked good from every angle.”
“Our florist used big, blousy blooms including a rodeo hydrangea as the main focus in our romantic wedding bouquet with touches of asclepius, delphinium power and muscari adorned with eucalyptus. Florals were added to a vintage dressing table with foliage cascading down and flowers adorning the top to create a beautiful area to display the desserts.”
“You don’t have to restrict your dessert table or drinks to inside the venue only! An outdoor setting can work in harmony with the natural elements, by decorating a dressing table with beautiful florals in jewelled colours of rusty orange and azure blue with tons of foliage, you can create a work of art to display your wedding cake or use as an outside bar that looks stunning set against the traditional manor house. Our 3 tiered crisp white wedding cake took centre stage on our dessert table. Decorated with gold leaves and sugar feathers with a watercolour effect in our Kingfisher colour palette. Accompanied by azure blue tone watercolour effect biscuits with 24k leaves in a gold accent and buttercream swirl cupcakes adorned with a single sugar feather.”
“Our stationer used azure blue agate slices, names where blazoned across the blue glass like surface and used as place names. These could also double up as your wedding favours. Vellum invites with gold calligraphy were used to give that modern country-chic feel.”
