“I was beyond excited when I noticed the beautiful field of sunflowers blooming. I thought this would be a beautiful location for a bridal photo shoot! I loved the idea of this boho inspired aesthetic. I knew I wanted to keep the sunflowers just to the background and incorporate textures and rich colors to achieve this look. While searching for table linen I decided that instead of the traditional table runner that I was going to use rugs! The texture was the perfect addition to this beautiful table.”

Take the time to meet your photographer and get to know one another. Be sure to look at full wedding galleries not just a few photos. Cake – Good Cake Witch
“When I started decorating this cake, I wanted to do something a little bit different. I wanted something Bohemian Rustic. So, I for sure wanted a tree bark look around the base of the cake. Then as I was cleaning up scraps of fondant I thought…”what would it look like with “peeling” bark?” Macrame is a trend that I think is coming back and I definitely wanted to add that in. The design for that part was inspired by a my tattoo actually. Succulents are such small and simple plants but when I added them to the cake they just made it all come together. Seeing the cake in the sunflower field at sunset brought the magic of this cake alive.”
Bridal – Davids Bridal Rapid City
“When I first heard the shoot would be in a field of sunflowers I immediately thought if this Galina gown. It’s unique but easy going look fit the bill perfectly. Simplicity was key for this boho bride, so I finished the look with a delicate flower crown and a soft suede nude heel to showcase the simple elegance of this gown.”
Florals – Becoming Bloom
“I love the look and feel of different textures in any arrangement and I used that inspiration to create this bouquet. It was a boho style shoot so I created an arrangement that was loose and romantic with a lot of different fall inspired colors and textures. For this bouquet I used a lot of greens and let them naturally cascade down. I also included ribbons that hung down at different lengths to create movement and line.”
