Are you ready for some super cool wedding vibes? This Brixton wedding is full of fun a relaxed atmosphere and a super cool couple! The dress is divine, beautifully tiered with lots of sass, and the groom is dressed to impress. Linzi and Loki tied the knot at the historic Lambeth Hall in a stunning contemporary ceremony and partied in the newly opened 100 Barrington Road a versatile events space in Brixton that you can absolutely make your own! Marta of Marta Ilardo Photography did the beautiful photography and we hear from her about the day…
“Linzi and Loki planned to get married for a long time, being interrupted first by the global pandemic and then with two babies! When they finally got a green light to celebrate, the only available date at their dream venue was Friday the 13th. They immediately felt it was only appropriate. So on Friday the 13th Linzi, Loki, their two babies, family and friends gathered in Lambeth Town Hall, London for a ceremony, after which they all walked three blocks to the amazing 100 Barrington road wedding venue. It was filled with sun and flowers and laughter.”
“The music was very important to the couple, so they hired the best DJ and ensured everyone would dance all night. And they did! They also love festivals so the whole event had a clear festival-y feeling, even though in the middle of a city. And of course, they had pizza!”
“The couple chose 100 Barrington Road a relatively new venue in Brixton. It’s an oasis in the hectic, busy neighbourhood – it’s secluded under the train arches and it’s full of contemporary style, amazing plants and it has the best chandelier in the whole of London. The planner Cherelle of Perfectly Planned 4 You lead the couple through the pandemic cancellations and change of venues etc. and it all ended up, well, perfectly.”
“The dress was from Self Portrait, a London-based designer dress brand. The designer is Han Chong – Malaysian-born, Central Saint Martins graduate. The wonderful, colourful flowers were from Rust Bloom and the retro cake (oh, the cake!) from the Meringue Girls. Delicious food was delivered by the Camberwell Arms and the Pizza Post (yes, there was a pizza truck for the party people at night). Special custom napkins were provided by Bespoke Binny and the guests could take them home with them as a wedding favour. They were made from Nigerian fabric as a nod to the groom’s roots. The music was incredible and a main and very important part of Linzi and Loki’s day; DJ Truss was amazing and brought the festival vibe and The Matt Wates Trio brought a super cool jazz element to their special day.”
