Rolling hills and romantic vibes for today’s intimate elopement at Saddleworth Moor, Yorkshire. It has dark, moody tones and an eclectic mix of traditional wedding touches and boho styling. Coordinated by My Prettiest Workshops it gives couples inspiration for smaller intimate weddings and even a romantic private marriage if you want it to be just the two of you! We catch up with Jen and the team to find out all about the inspirational shoot…
“Saddleworth has beautiful backdrops, rolling hills and reservoirs. The models and real couple Harley and Dave wore relaxed, boho style clothes which suited the mood much more than a suit and traditional dress would have done. Emma Cox made the most incredible autumnal bouquet and the gorgeous VW camper van was the perfect addition to really showcase an intimate elopement.”

“I think it’s important for couples to see what they could achieve quickly and easily given the current situation. At lot of people’s priorities have changed since the restrictions on weddings were first announced and I think now more than ever people are considering ditching the big wedding plan in favour of something much more intimate. Couple’s are just wanting to get married and as soon as possible, I wanted to give couples the visual inspiration they need to envision how beautiful their intimate wedding or elopement could be.”
“Nothing beats the feeling of just the two of you together and I think it’s something really special to be able to have a stress-free wedding day like this. Even more so when it gives you so much more time for amazing photos like these. All you really need to have an incredible wedding day is each other – and the photos to prove it of course!”

“I wanted to use colours and textures that were sympathetic to the surrounding area. For texture I used foraged, dried bracken and some golden, wispy grass. I used some mocha lisianthus and golden mustard roses for warm colours to really give that autumnal feel. For movement in the bouquet I used some chocolate cosmos, that I grow myself (they have the most delicate stems and that dark, rich chocolate colour) and some spirea. Spirea is amazing in spring with beautiful tiny blossom flowers all over it, but in the autumn its foliage turns shades of yellow and its tiny, delicate leaves are perfect to add for movement, texture and colour.”
Camper – Sun & Surf VW Weddings
Our original 1970s California import VW T2 Camper is aptly named Diego as it spent most of its life in San Diego taking fraternities from their frat house to college. We bought Diego 2 years ago, the van was painted in a very 80s gold colour, bringing the California boho vibe to the peaks of Yorkshire.”
“Diego now spends his time taking couples to their weddings. We style the camper to the couple’s wedding theme to make it truly special for them too.”
