New to our directory and on today’s supplier spotlight is Becky Chisti of Bride by Becky who makes sure she does just that. Based in London and the southeast she specialises in both hair and makeup and perfecting a look that’s perfect for you on your wedding day. We find out a bit more about her, and her business…

“Bride by Becky is an award-winning London-based, hair and makeup artist with over 15 years of experience, specialising in bridal, special occasion and vintage makeup. With eco and sustainable practices in place, she only uses high-end luxury products with mostly ethical, and all-vegan products.”

What are your influences when creating looks?

“I love to create and perfect a whole host of looks so whatever type of look a bride wants, she gets. From boho chic to timelessly elegant. I also love to create vintage fusion and natural and glowing looks for brides. My advice is to always stay true to yourself and enjoy the journey as much as the big day!”

Who is your typical bride?

“Quite simply a bride who wants to feel a million bucks, for me it’s not just about how you look but it all comes down to how you feel too. I want the confidence to shine through!

How important is being sustainable?

“I use a range of sustainable and vegan hair and make-up brands some of which are B corporation businesses. I have practices of recycling packaging through TerraCycle, I use biodegradable bamboo mascara wands and lashes and use reusable cotton pads and wipes. Sustainability is an important part of the brand”

What are you most proud of so far?

I’m proud of how many brides and bridal parties I’ve helped feel calm and special. Here’s what one of my brides had to say…

“Becky did my hair and makeup and my best friend’s hair for my big day and we couldn’t have been happier. On the trial day, Becky really listened to what I had in mind and gave me ideas for my makeup. I was a bit worried about makeup as I’m not used to wearing much, but she did a lovely natural makeup look that made me feel great and confident. On the wedding day, she turned up early and everything went perfectly. I loved that Becky was so kind and calm, which helped me to feel relaxed right before the ceremony. What is next for you and your company?

“To continue to grow my sustainable makeup artist practices and to help others do the same. My aim is to build a bigger team who shares the same ethical practices as Bride by Becky and help more amazing makeup and hair artists create beautiful looks using vegan products!
