Intimate Wedding With Gold and Green Luxury Styling At Hendall Manor Barns, Sussex

Samantha of SJB Hair and Make Up was the creator of the shoot and we catch up with her and the team to find out all about it…

 

 

“The aim of the shoot was to showcase how intimate weddings can be made to feel super luxurious, with a modern contemporary feel. This was achieved through a simple colour palette of white, gold and green providing inspiration to those wishing to have that luxury styling and atmosphere without compromising due to the current restrictions. After all, this is the most special day for a couple to celebrate their love! The dream team of suppliers involved in this shoot are passionate about the wedding industry and believe that their couples deserve to have the day of their dreams whatever the circumstances.”

 

Inspiration

“The inspiration for the shoot was around keeping an opulent theme even in the midst of a pandemic and the restrictions as such. On our shoot, we wanted to showcase the suppliers’ talent for keeping a luxury feel in an intimate setting. Couples wishing to do this need to research their suppliers, gain inspiration from social media, blogs and publications. The hope is that our styled will support them with this.”

 

 

“Hendall Manor Barns is a beautiful and unique venue for couples to marry. They have a gorgeous contemporary barn with large floor to ceiling windows adorning both sides in the middle section of the building. Providing both outdoor views across their manicured lawns and well-lit interiors for that modern opulent feel. The spacious barn area comfortably housed our intimate furnishings including the table where wedding guests would be free to enjoy the indulgent dining experience awaiting them. The concept for the shoot was around envisaging an intimate and luxurious space for couples to create their special day however small that may be during the current climate. To achieve this we had a number of specialist suppliers who could bring their own unique vision and expertise to the shoot.”

“The photography was a mix of reportage and editorial in style, this is very contemporary at the moment and fits perfectly with a luxury modern theme. There were some advanced lighting techniques employed on the shoot which is indicative of high-end photography.”

 

The Bride and Groom

Dress – Nortier Shallo

“The overall bridal style created a contemporary feel for this modern bride. She wore two luxury bespoke wedding dresses, one for the ceremony and another for the reception. The ceremony dress, encompassed a detailed embossed bodice with laced bow shoulder straps and a full-bodied chiffon attached skirt, super luxurious in style. The epitome of feminine elegance. The brides wedding breakfast dress, a strapless a-line full-bodied skirt once again, in the most luxurious satin fabric complete with pockets to add to that modern luxe feel and beautifully bold, clean lines. The dresses were complemented with stunning accessories including handcrafted bridal headpieces one adorned with a white flush of flower and gold earrings.”

“The second, opulent and detailed gold and pearl-encrusted headband with an array of floral differently designed flowers and complete with matching earrings. Both dresses were complimented by two different veils with a modern twist, beautifully soft detailed cape sleeves for her ceremony dress and a modern and contemporary ponytail veil for her wedding breakfast.”

“The Groom’s style was in keeping with the overall theme. He wore a tailored chic suit of classic navy complete with a gold tie handkerchief in his top pocket, perfectly complimenting the bride’s style and overall setting”

 

Hair and Makeup – SJB Hair and Makeup

“The bride’s hair was created with a full and luxurious hair down style with a soft wave, this complimented both the brides wedding dresses and well as keeping the focus on her beautiful headpieces. The evening saw the bride go for a modern ponytail for a change in style to compliment her evening dress. Her makeup tones included soft pinks and rose golds with a focus on soft glowing skin, understated yet beautifully highlighting her stunning features.”

Flowers – Posy and Wild

“The floral colour scheme was kept simple and elegant with hues of sage and white. Flowers were peppered along the rectangular table in an understated way to simply accent the ambience of the scene. The stunning bouquet in contrast was a much larger display mirroring the table flora and fauna.”

 

Cake – Wedding Cakes by Lisa

“Just because this was a smaller wedding the cake did not lack in stature or design. It had clean, elegant design adorned with sugar crafted flowers set upon an exquisite set of draws along an array of treats perfect for any sweet tooth. The guest were spoiled with a choice of macaroons topped with gold leaf and the finest fairy cakes.”

 

Props and Decor – Hire Your Day

“The amazing guys at hire your day created three spaces for the couple within Hendall Manor Barns. There was an outdoor ceremony complete with a gold geometric designed archway furnished asymmetrically with balloons. The indoor wedding breakfast was furnished with ceiling to floor drapes and a beautiful vintage styled side cabinet utilised as a cakes and sweet display area.”
