You’ll want your wedding day to be memorable for all the right reasons if you’re getting married. You’ll want to remember the party with a smile and you’ll want everyone to have a good time. But wanting all of this and actually getting it are two different things if you don’t plan ahead and keep track of all the little details. Have A Clear Vision
Before you can do anything else, you need to have a clear idea of how you want the day to go. When you keep this in mind, it will be easier to make decisions and plan next steps. If you don’t know what you want, you’ll never be sure if you’re making the right choice or doing the right thing. It’s better if you can create lists of essentials, like a wedding photographer or wedding rings that match your engagement rings, and optional extras you would buy if the money allowed, like favours or something similar. Your budget is the thing you should consider next, or possibly even first, as, without one, you run the risk of overspending and perhaps needing to borrow money (which you might be willing to do, but it’s something to think about before you go ahead with it) or postponing or cancelling parts of the wedding if you discover you can’t afford it.
Any funds you intend to use for your wedding, any gifts you might receive to put toward it, and, as already said, any borrowing all need to be considered in your budget. Your budget will not only help you purchase what you need and outline your financial options, but it will also provide you with a timetable because you’ll be able to determine whether you need to save money or not.
Choose Your Venue Wisely
Your venue is one of the most important parts of planning your wedding. Once you’ve chosen it, everything else will be easier to put together. The first thing you’ll get when you choose and book a venue is a wedding date. This is important because you can’t do anything else until you have a date for the big day. You can’t send invitations or hire a caterer without a date.
On top of that, at least some of the style and look of your wedding will depend on where it is. Usually, a wedding at a fancy mansion will be very different from a wedding on the beach. If you want to plan the wedding of your dreams, the location has to be right.
Choose A Great Theme
Wedding themes are a fun and creative way to incorporate your personality and interests into the big day. If you and your future spouse both grew up watching (and enjoying) Disney films, you could realise your childhood fantasy of having a Disney-themed wedding. If you prefer, you can pick a topic that reflects your personal tastes in literature, video games, or music. In addition, this provides your guests with a plethora of options for incorporating the theme into their outfits.

Typically, the wedding breakfast will include three or four courses of (albeit pretty elegant) food. If this doesn’t appeal to you, don’t be scared to play with your menu. Choose foods that you know you like and enjoy, even if they aren’t the most ‘sophisticated’ option.
Plus, if you want something more informal, you don’t have to choose a sit-down dinner. For example, if you’re planning an outdoor wedding, you could have a series of food trucks arrive when it’s time for dinner. This is an excellent way to ensure that there is something for everyone and to make the day a memorable one.
