“Our vision was to create an autumnal-inspired shoot that showcased the talent of some incredible women in and around Leeds. The main focus of creating this theme for your own wedding definitely has to be on the colour palette. Choose burnt oranges, pinks, and a touch of gold to create a rustic yet luxurious autumnal vibe.”

 

 

Venue

“The Faversham is a sought-after alternative wedding venue perfect for couples wanting a city and perhaps less traditional wedding. Its character, original features, textures and patterns can create beautiful backdrops for portraits. The mix of vintage, and modern furniture provides you with the flexibility to create a unique setting in each room.”

 

 

Styling

“Autumn is all about layering up and that follows suit in styling, too. We layered placemats and gold beaded charger plates and topped with a terracotta knot-tied cheesecloth napkin. An ivory chiffon runner added texture to the tablescape and we used lots of candlelight in the form of taper candles and tea lights to add depth to the table and most importantly to give that autumnal warmth and glow.”

 

 

Photography

“When it comes to choosing your photographer you need to decide what style of images you’d like best to remember your day. Whether it be classic and traditional, luxury or documentary style – which focuses less on poses and more on candids and real, intimate moments. I love to shoot in natural light, capturing the details and those fleeting seconds in the day you might not even realise are happening. Autumn is a lovely time of year for a wedding – the days still have light into the early evening and it isn’t going to be too hot! Plus, any outdoor shoots will have an autumnal backdrop that will add warmth to your gallery”

 

 

Bridal

“Creating an autumnal bridal look for this inspirational shoot started with the vision of the stunning florals and how the dresses created the perfect backdrops. Either a modern sophisticated short corset-bodice crepe dress with a matching cape, a super floaty, split-sleeved, V-neck dress, or a scintillating gold sequin body-hugging dress and a couture-designed floral sheer top and full crepe skirt. Which one would you choose?”

 

 

“Adding the perfect accessory really is the crowning glory to any bridal look so we used a star-studded headpiece and matching earrings, a modern, regal, full pearl headband, and dreamy veils to complete the different looks. Thinking about the vibe of your wedding and the need for cover-ups matched with the floral design is a great way to start your bridal journey.”

 

 

The Details

“Vintage-style cakes are huge at the moment and can really add a fun vibe to your wedding and photos. They can be modernised with an updated colour palette – for example using burnt oranges, reds and dusky pinks will work well for autumn. We created a fun, modern look for the stationery, incorporating a lovely textured white cardstock with splashes of colour for a warm, autumnal theme. We used a combination of serif and script fonts and layered in tones of green and orange through some of the finishing touches such as the ribbon, envelopes, and wax seals, which really brought the finished look together. As is on trend right now, we were creative with some of the shapes used, incorporating scalloped edges and a double arch for the invites for a playful, modern look. Having a neon light as part of your decor can add another fun element to your day – and light up the dancefloor in the evening! It’s the perfect backdrop for your guests to pose in front of too.”
